Hopie Fever

About 3 weeks after Hopie was born (between May 5th to May 16th), she came down with 106 Degrees F fever (normally around 100-100.8 F).  The vet had to give her many shots to combat against influenza and to reduce the fever and twice she was given saline solution intravenously. Happily, after about 2 weeks, she is in fine health now.

During the fight to reduce her temperature, she was given the wet-towels treatment and we also kept the water air conditioners on.  She would come to sleep in front of the air conditioning units after feeding and toilet breaks.  The only bad side effect of this treatment is that she is now totally addicted to the air conditioners !!!!  She would go run after the mother for a while and when tired, she would come right back to the air conditioners to nap in front of them !!!

Getting intravenous saline solution after getting some milk and toilet stop
she would come to sleep in front of the air cond getting better but still having elevated fever
Becoming addicted the the air conditioner May 21st, all fine now
