Stuff for Dome Home

We are starting to gather stuff to be moved to Lopburi to be used in the dome home

อับเฉา (ballasts)

Around the year 1900, my great great grandfather, อึ้งเมี่ยงเหงี่ยน traveled from China to settle in Thailand.  After long hard work, he started to ship rice and timber back to his home town, หมู่บ้านไฮหน่ำ ตำบลส่งเค้าโป๊ อำเภอบ้วยกุ้ย มณฑลกวางตุ้ง ประเทศจีน. As the sailing ships travel back empty, they would load the cargo holds with some stones to use as ballasts.  These ballasts have been in my house in Tiensieng Lane for a long time.  As we were doing some renovation of the steps, we decided to dig up most of the stones that have been buried un-used in the back yard and move them to Lopburi.

4-Poster Bed

This teak 4-poster bed was the wedding bed of my great grandparents.  The design looked to be European. We do not know how old this bed is but since their daughter (my grandmother) was born in 1902, it must be at least 105 years old as of 2006.  It is 1.83 meter wide, 2.38 meter long (King Size), and 2.53 meter tall.
